Gobernanza corporativa y diálogo social: hacia una sostenibilidad empresarial con enfoque social

Resumen
Este artículo analiza críticamente la incorporación del diálogo social en las políticas empresariales como eje central de la sostenibilidad social y la gobernanza corporativa contemporánea. A partir de un enfoque analítico y comparado, el estudio examina cómo distintas empresas, en contextos europeos, estadounidenses, asiáticos y latinoamericanos, han institucionalizado mecanismos de participación social que trascienden enfoques instrumentales de responsabilidad social empresarial. El trabajo articula desarrollos teóricos sobre gobernanza corporativa ampliada, participación de stakeholders y sostenibilidad social con el análisis de prácticas empíricas verificables, prestando especial atención a los arreglos organizacionales, los espacios de deliberación multiactor y su impacto en la toma de decisiones estratégicas.
Los hallazgos muestran que la sostenibilidad social depende menos de la existencia formal de mecanismos participativos y más de su capacidad para incidir en normas internas, estructuras de gobierno y procesos decisionales. El artículo concluye proponiendo un enfoque de gobernanza corporativa con orientación social, particularmente relevante para economías emergentes, donde el diálogo social puede contribuir a fortalecer la legitimidad empresarial y la articulación con la sociedad civil en contextos de alta complejidad institucional.
