Obstáculos para a implementação da economia circular em países em desenvolvimento

A economia circular tem se virado relevante nesses dias como uma substituição ao método clássico de produção linear, pois ela promete um uso mais responsável dos recursos naturais, reduzindo a produção de resíduos e os níveis de contaminação, além de melhorar as condições de vida da população. A sua aplicação em países desarrolhados já está em andamento e, mesmo se os países em desenvolvimento estão se aproximando ao modelo, por exemplo com as ODS, é incerto se esses países possuem condições adequadas para a sua implementação. O objetivo dessa pesquisa é identificar os obstáculos nos países em desenvolvimento que dificultam a sua implementação e discutir se eles podem se superar. A metodologia foi uma revisão sistémica da literatura. O estudo identifica uma inter-relação dos obstáculos em relação aos temas culturais, estruturas de organizações institucionais e tecnológicas. Para superar esses obstáculos, é necessário ter um compromisso e trabalho coletivo do Estado, companhias e a sociedade. Esses obstáculos, mesmo se eles são difíceis de superar, são também oportunidades para economias que precisam de inovar e ganhar vantagens competitivas para seu desarrolho econômico e ambiental.
