Doctor Luis Toscano Soria

Abstract

Through these lines, I fulfill the pleasant task of recounting the academic and professional career of the distinguished teacher and friend, Dr. Luis Toscano Soria, a renowned tax attorney in Ecuador. In this endeavor, the description of his attributes is not a eulogy, but rather a duty to bear witness to a life dedicated to teaching and professional service with integrity and responsibility, which we consider a model. From within academia, Professor Toscano Soria has decisively contributed to the training and development of a significant number of tax professionals in the country, from the fields of law, accounting, administration, and related disciplines. Throughout his extensive career, he has dedicated more than two decades to the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, Ecuador Campus, as a professor and coordinator of the Postgraduate Specialization Program in Taxation.
