Abstract

This work addresses the effects that constitutional rights have in the relationships between individuals. In this area, the law has distinguished among immediate effects, mediate effects and the duty to protect constitutional rights, being the latter one present even within the international commitment made by the ecuadorian government through the signing of international human rights treaties. besides, some constitutional resolutions approved in this field by our former Constitutional Tribunal and Colombia’s Constitutional Court are revised, showing us a panoramic view of the constitutional rights diffusion.
