Constitutional Supremacy in Bolivia

Abstract

This article analyzes the supremacy of the Constitution in the Bolivian scenario over the rest of rules that are part of the juridical system. Particularly, it studies the international treaties –especially those that are part of the International Law of Human Rights– and refers to the debate around their hierarchy within the Bolivian juridical system, and specifically, in regard to the Constitution. Finally, the study establishes the hierarchy of the rules issued by the indigenous, original and rural nations in the Bolivian juridical system.
