Abstract

Despite the significant tensions observed in the theoretical discussions of the social sciences in recent decades, ranging from the individualistic emphasis of rational choice and behaviorism to the greater focus on structures and the interaction of actors in neo-institutionalism, one point of apparent convergence lies in the need for interdisciplinary studies. Based on this premise, the present work attempts to analyze some ideas that, from a systems perspective, can serve as points of reference for a broader understanding of the crucial relationships between politics and law, and between political scientists and legal scholars.
