How to recover the oil heritage of all Ecuadorians?

By taking into account the management of oil resources during the last 30 years, the author presents a set of critical elements about national oil Policy and points out some elements explaining why most of the benefits derived from oil activities have been kept in the hands of transnational corporations rather than the Ecuadorian state. In order to With the objective of affording measures for protecting oil wealth, the author proposes such measures as strengthening the state oil enterprises, renegotiating previous oil contracts, and making oil companies pay their taxes.
