Abstract

Raúl Vallejo presents a tribute to the poet Jorgenrique Adoum. He rescues the value that the poet from Ambato ascribed to words, as a space to explore new manners of expression, to speak of love, to highlight his belonging to «an unreal nation, limited by itself, / split by an imaginary line». It is both an individual and collective homage, an elegy celebrating the poet that «made us the readers we are, the writers we’ve always wanted to be; […] but [that] more than anything taught us, with his literature, the complexity of the poetic word, the deep ethics of being human as well as the pain of being one’s self»
